Tahitian style bungalow accommodation scattered around. Located on 4 hectares of secluded tropical white sandy beaches, surrounded by palm trees. Tikehau is an almost circular atoll with an interior lagoon 26km (16 miles) across and a pass for small boats through the coral reef. Jacques Cousteau's research group made a study of the Polynesian atolls in 1987 - Tikehau lagoon was thought to contain the most fish. The atoll has 382 residents. Tikehau is a 55 minute flight from Tahiti. All bungalows are designed in true Polynesian style, located at the beginning of the first pontoon. They are very spacious and are equipped with a fan, mini bar, coffee / tea making facilities, direct dial phone, safe, television and private verandah. The Over Water Bungalows feature a glass section of the floor from which to enjoy the spectacular underwater life of the lagoon.
